A Summer-Long Celebration of Food, Movies and Music Comes to The Autry in Griffith Park on Saturday June 7th

Rated R
Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman) is a precocious 15-year-old whose reason for living is his attendance at Rushmore, a private school where he's not doing well in any of his classes, but where he's the king of the extracurricular activities. He's put on academic probation and falls in love with Miss Cross, a teacher at the elementary school. Add to this Max's friendship with Herman Blume (Bill Murray), a father to boys who attend Rushmore and also attracted to Miss Cross. Max's fate becomes inextricably tied to this odd love triangle and how he sets about resolving it is the story in this wonderful film directed by Wes Anderson.
