On Saturday, May 11 we are showing Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first Indiana Jones movie, at Paul Revere Middle School. This is a great one to see again and an awesome opportunity if you’ve got kids that have never seen the movie before. What better way to see it for the first time than on the big screen? And not just any big screen, ours is 3.5 stories tall with an image that is 52 feet wide – larger than any other outdoor screen in LA and the largest on the West Coast!

Fresh off the heels of an interactive performance at the Skirball Cultural Center for Gary Baseman’s House Party exhibit, Capital Recording Artist Nightmare & The Cat will perform.

And of course, every Eat|See|Hear event is complete with LA’s popular food trucks. We’ve got a great lineup to start our 2013 season (including vegetarian options):

LobstaTruck, serving up delicious lobster and rolls.

Seoul Sausage, Season 3 winners of The Great Food Truck Race you’ll get to try their tasty Korean barbeque and sides.

BorderGrill, serving border favorites like quesadillas, tacos, and ceviche.

Lomo Arigato, serving Asian fusion cuisine like fried rice and Peruvian spaghetti.

Belly Bombz, offering Korean wings and sliders.

Joe’s Pizza, serving authentic New York style pizza by the slice (trust me – I’m a transplanted NYer that knows a good slice and these are great!)

Coolhaus, serving up ice cream, cookies, and other artisan treats. Try our custom Eat|See|Hear flavor – bourbon butterscotch ice cream sandwiched between two peanut butter crunch cookies.

Brasil Kiss, offering Intelligentsia Direct-Trade Brazilian coffee, organic tea, energy drinks, and Brazilian street food.

B Sweet Mobile, serving homemade desserts like fudge brownies, cupcake in a jar, and red velvet truffles and always with a dessert themed for the movie.

Come see us for our LA outdoor movie night at Paul Revere Middle School. You can purchase tickets at http://brentwoodraiders-eorg.eventbrite.com/, for $10 general admission or $20 for the popchips Fashionably Late premium reserved seating area, and there will be a few tickets available at the door for $12 (cash or credit). The doors open at 5:30, the band plays at 7, and the movie starts at 8:30. Unless you get a popchips Fahionably Late ticket, come early to get a good spot!

EAT|SEE|HEAR BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND THIS SUMMER

LA’s Second Annual Summer Event Series Kicks-off on Saturday, May 11

Presented by Showtime Networks, New Additions in 2013 include Christmas in July, Four Nights of Drive-In Movies and Best Friends Animal Society Mobile Pet Adoptions

LOS ANGELES – April 15, 2013 – Eat|See|Hear (www.eatseehear.com), LA’s premier outdoor movie, food truck and live music event series, today announced its 2013 schedule for a summer-long celebration of food, movies and music, presented by SHOWTIME NETWORKS. Back by popular demand, residents, visitors and families in the greater Los Angeles area are invited to visit their local parks and community venues to watch beloved comedies and contemporary movie favorites while dining on the most popular food truck fare and listening to up and coming bands from the local music scene. The second annual event series will kick-off on Saturday, May 11 with “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and then travel around Los Angeles with 19 tour stops through September 14th. Regular tickets go on sale Monday, April 15th at http://eatseehear.eventbrite.com. New additions for 2013 include Christmas in July, four nights of Drive-In movies, non-profit partner, Best Friends Animal Society, and many others.

“With the overwhelming success of last year’s series, we’re excited to bring Angelenos together for the city’s best treats and eats, nostalgic films and contemporary classics, and cutting-edge local bands to kick off summer,” said Sharon Sperber, Co-Producer at Eat|See|Hear. “This year’s Eat|See|Hear schedule is being presented by SHOWTIME and is filled with new additions, such as Christmas in July, non-profit and community partners, and more “drive-ins” based on all of the positive feedback from movie-goers last year. Plus, we get to enjoy all of this great entertainment outside at some of the most scenic parks and iconic venues right here in LA.”

The first annual Eat|See|Hear Christmas in July event will take place on July 13th in Brentwood, featuring the film “Elf,” starring Will Ferrell. The venue will be complete with a Christmas tree, holiday decorations, and a tropical Santa Claus. Guests will also have the opportunity to get into the “holiday spirit” by bringing canned goods and donations for Best Friends Animal Society while enjoying the entertainment and great food.

Eat|See|Hear is also partnering with Best Friends Animal Society – Los Angeles, who will receive a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and bring adoptable animals to several events. New event partners this year also include JACK-FM, Origami Vinyl, DoLA.com, Laemmle Theatres; and many of the returning partners from last year such as KROQ-FM, Los Angeles magazine, Roaming Hunger and Flavorpill. Katy Perry fans won’t want to miss this year’s special screening of an all-time favorite film, “Clueless,” (June 1st in Brentwood) where fans will have the chance to enjoy Katy’s favorite snack, her popchips flavor: Katy’s Kettle Corn, while relaxing in the special section of “Fashionably Late” beanbag chairs. And just like last year, Eat|See|Hear has a dog-friendly atmosphere so guests are welcome to bring their canine companions to enjoy the fun.

Featuring the only three-story high, 52-foot wide inflatable movie screen west of the Mississippi, Eat|See|Hear offers an unrivaled outdoor movie experience with digital HD projection and state of the art line-array audio.

Each movie will be projected onto a Harkness motion picture screen surface called AIRSCREEN, the original inflatable movie projection screen which provides a top quality, crisp, clear image resulting in an enjoyable experience for everyone. Prior to each movie, local up and coming bands will perform live, courtesy of Origami Vinyl, and popular food trucks will provide great bites and drinks to round out the fun, capturing what LA does best: food, music, movies and beautiful scenery.

Regular tickets will go on sale on April 15th and can be purchased online at http://eatseehear.eventbrite.com. A limited amount of “Fashionably Late” seats will also be available online for $20, which are premium reserved seats in a desirable area of the venue, sponsored by popchips. A limited amount of passes will also be available for $12 at the door (cash or credit card). Parking will vary from venue to venue so guests are encouraged to check the event website for specific parking info prior to each event.
