To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sixteen Candles, the characters Long Duk Dong and his Sexy American Girlfriend will join us in Brentwood to introduce the film and sign autographs!
We’ll be showing the 1984 romantic coming-of-age comedy starring Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall at Paul Revere Middle School at 1450 Allenford Avenue. There’s $5 parking available on site and limited street parking. Make sure you watch for signs and please be respectful of the neighbors! We don’t want our attendees to end up with parking tickets or to have their cars towed away. The only entrance to the event is on Allenford just after Sunset and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
LA band Mleo (pronounced muh-lee-oh) will take the stage at 7PM. As always, we will have plenty of food trucks on hand dishing up sweet and savory delights. The lineup includes Belly Bombz, Me So Hungry, Wicked Kitchen, The Gastrobus, Trolley Truck, The Pudding Truck, Brasil Kiss, Coolhaus and more.
The middle school has a flat, expansive lawn for seating. We recommend bringing blankets, pillows or cushions for comfort. You may also bring low beach chairs (no more than 6 inches off the ground) but please avoid bringing taller lawn chairs as those could block the view of others behind you. If you have a taller chair, you’ll be asked to sit off to the side in a specially designated area. You can also pack and picnic and bring coolers (no larger than 12-inches by 12-inches), but alcohol is prohibited on school grounds.
We love seeing your four-legged friends! All pups are welcome to join us on August 9 and will receive a free doggie biscuit at the door. Please remember to keep them on a leash, and remember to bring enough treats, water and poop bags.
We don’t want you to miss this fabulous opportunity to meet Long Duk Dong and his Sexy American Girlfriend and celebrate the anniversary of this John Hughes classic! Purchase your tickets now online here.
