This weekend, get the family together to celebrate Christmas in July! We’re hosting a special event on Saturday, July 12 that will have plenty of holiday fun and flair. From a tree and decorations to a special appearance by Santa Claus & his helpers, our cheery extravaganza will also include a raffle with great “presents,” live music from Charles McDonald and a donation drive benefiting Best Friends Animal Society-Los Angeles.
This is the perfect inexpensive and fun activity for families in Los Angeles. We’ll have food trucks including Bool BBQ, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Rice Balls Of Fire, India Jones, No Jodas Kitchen, Flat Iron, My Delight Cupcakery, Coolhaus, Brasil Kiss on site so you’re sure to find something that satisfies everyone’s tastes.
To make sure you’re really feeling in the holiday spirit, we’re showing the 1989 comedy classic National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase as Clark and Beverly D’Angelo as Ellen, a married couple with two children who deal with the stress of holiday planning and Christmas disasters. Rated PG-13, this comedy will keep everyone in the family laughing all night long.
This event will be held at the Memorial Greek Amphitheater at Santa Monica High School located at 601 Pico Boulevard. There’s only one entrance to the event on 4th Street between the school’s track and the DoubleTree Hotel. There’s also a paid parking lot across the street in the Civic Center parking structure/lot at 333 Civic Center Dr. This is a paid lot and we unfortunately cannot control the cost of parking or the operations of the lot. You may also find parking on the street but make sure to watch for signs so you don’t end up with a ticket or, worse yet, being towed! Sometimes the DoubleTree Hotel also offers parking for a fee.
The amphitheater has built-in concrete seating, so we recommend bringing blankets, pillows or cushions for added comfort. Add your own festive cheer with holiday-themed blankets! Dogs are also welcome, so bring your four-legged friend to an evening the entire family will enjoy.
Previous events held at Santa Monica High School have sold out, so we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Tickets are just $10 for adults and $8 for kids 12 and under and you can buy them online.
We can’t wait to see your and your family in Santa Monica on Saturday!
