Autry National Center Events in Los Angeles

The Autry in Griffith Park is one of our newest venues. Offering a gorgeous and expansive lawn, it’s the perfect spot for stretching out and enjoying an Eat|See|Hear evening, which is more than just a movie and an experience to share with friends, family and even your dog.

This year, we’re hosting several events at the Autry. Earlier this season, we screened The Big Lebowski, Rushmore and Jaws to enthusiastic audiences. This Saturday, we’ll be back on the lawn next to the Autry Museum with a live performance by yOya and a showing of the crime thriller American Psycho starring Christian Bale. Doors open at 5:30PM.

The Autry is a museum in Los Angeles that focuses on the history of the American West and American Indians. The museum works to connect past, present and future with exhibitions, interactive galleries and entertainment including lecture series, films, festivals, family events and music, plus other public programs, research and educational outreach. Established in 1988 by actor Gene Autry, actually has two sites: Griffith Park, across from the LA Zoo, and in Mt. Washington on Museum Drive, where the ethnobotanical garden and the Historic Southwest Museum of the American Indian building resides.

The Southwest Museum of the American Indian is a collection of Native American art that is second only to the Smithsonian. The museum features 238,000 pieces that include baskets, textiles and weavings, and jewelry that represent indigenous people stretching from Alaska to South America. The display also focuses on cultures from California and the Southwestern states.

All Eat|See|Hear ticket holders get to roam select museum galleries for free before the movie begins.  Be sure to pick up your “mission” for the night at the entrance and tag the photos you take inside with @theautry.  Be sure to check out the Route 66 exhibit!

The entrance to our upcoming event in Griffith Park is on the event lawn adjacent to the Autry Museum. Free parking is available across the street at the zoo and there will be bike parking available as well for those who want to arrive on two wheels. The event is dog-friendly so bring your four-legged pals too.

Food trucks appearing at the event include Vchos, Arroy Foods, The Grilled Cheese Truck, Foodism, Azteca Truck, Wise BBQ, Slummin Gourmet, Crepe de Ville, Coolhaus, Brasil Kiss and more.

We can’t wait to see you on the gorgeous grounds of the Autry! Buy your tickets now.
