Pulp Fiction is coming to LA Saturday, August 31, as John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis are set to air at an action-packed outdoor movie screening in LA State Historic Park (1245 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012)! Come and watch this tried and true pop classic that maneuvers backward through the timeline of the film’s story, giving us a look at the lives of mobsters, drug addicts, and other career criminals set to an awesome soundtrack and all-star performances to boot! We already have “Son of a Preacher Man” stuck in our heads! Come early for live music provided by hardcore Pasadena band Torches at 7 p.m. and come hungry, because we’ll have so many great food trucks (always vegetarian options!) this week, including: Asian Cravings, featuring Asian-infused tacos, curries and spicy appetizers; Flippin Yolk, with its new twists on an authentic Fillipino breakfast favorite; Fresh Fries, with its regular, curly or sweet potato fries and delicious sauces; Ludo Truck, offering up fried chicken recently awarded as one of the 99 Things to Try Before You Die; Rounds Burgers’ beef, turkey and veggie burgers for all; The Bun Truck’s steamed buns, sammiches and yummy sides; VCHOS truck, with their gourmet Central American inspired tapas; Coolhaus, with so many delicious sweet treats; Brasil Kiss’s delightful organic coffee; Royal Red Velvet Cupcakes, serving up a wonderful variety of plays on the original red velvet cake.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., live music will start at 7 p.m. and Pulp Fiction begins promptly at 8:30 p.m. at LA State Historic Park. Enter the park on North Spring Street. Walk, bike or take the Metro Gold line to the Chinatown Station and walk to the park, which is less than a block away from the stop. As always, general admission tickets are $10 and premium-seating popchips-sponsored “Fashionably Late” tickets are available for $20. Tickets for this event are available at eventbrite.com.
