For our downtown LA drive in movie this week we will be showing Boogie Nights, starring Mark Wahlberg, at the Los Angeles Trade Tech College (400 W Washington Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90015) on Saturday, June 29, 2013. This is a really fun movie, and we will also be enjoying live music by local artists Honeypie, presented by Oragami Vinyl, and awesome food by some of the best food trucks in LA:
Good Greek Grub, serving gyros, salads, sides, and more.
Flatiron Truck, offering farm to table cuisine like pork burgers, farmer’s market salads, and fried cauliflower.
Coolhaus, serving ice cream, cakes, and artisan marshmallows—among other sweet treats.
Brasil Kiss, offering direct trade Brazilian coffee and Brazilian street food.
The drive in movie starts at 8:30 pm, but come early to take advantage of the food trucks and enjoy Honeypie, a Huntington Beach-based indie-folk band formed by Trisha Smith and Darian Zahedi that has been compared to other indie darlings like She & Him and Feist. The band goes on at 7:00 pm and the doors open at 5:30 pm. We strongly recommend that you come around then to get the full experience of the drive in (and a good spot!).
